Working From Home and Your Health

|

Just because you decide to work from home doesn't mean you don't have to look after your health.

Did you think that because you can sit in bed and do your work you can afford to get sick? Think again. Now more than ever, you have to take proper care of yourself.

When you were working for a boss, you had sick leave. They paid you when you were sick. Now, if you don't work, you don't earn any money. If you're lucky, you may have passive income to fall back on when you are not well enough to work but most work- from -home people, especially those just starting out, need to work.

How can you look after your health? You need to eat healthy food, exercise every day and get a good eight hours sleep every day. That sounds easy, doesn't it?

You need at least thirty minutes of exercise every day. It's not hard to go for a brisk walk once a day. You could try walking the dog or going for a walk with a friend. It doesn't even have to be a walk as long as you get you heart pumping for half an hour.

Swimming is an excellent form of exercise too.

You should pay attention to what you eat as well. Sitting at the computer for most of the day can encourage you to snack on junk food and drink to many soft drinks or coffees.

Fresh fruit and vegetables are better for you and not fattening. Carrot or celery sticks are a good snack. Choose these instead of junk food and you will stay healthy.

Getting out with friends is vital to your health. Socialising is important to people and it will help you stay healthy.

Don't go out too often or stay out late all of the time. You still need your eight hours of sleep each day.
